Kelvin Naef was a worker in Texas, USA
Kelvin wanted to go out to lunch with me, but I told him I could not eat with him because he taught heresies. He was upset about that. He told me that there were "certain verses" that he didn't want me to speak on in Sunday morning meetings. I asked him which ones. He wouldn't say. He said "You know which ones I'm talking about."
I feel sorry for him trying to control other people and what they share with others. Being a false prophet must be so unrewarding. That has to be a miserable life; so full of bondage, worry, fret and lack of self-control.
So I spoke on those verses in my testimony at a Texas convention instead. I don't think he was happy. But what was he going to do? Shut off the microphone and make a scene? I don't even know if he was present.
Two people approached me after the meeting and thanked me for speaking out on the issue of divorce and remarriage. This problem of adultery is rampant in Texas. People move from Oregon and other states to come to Texas, as if God has approved and divorce and remarriage in this state?
I asked Kelvin Naef to sit down over the Bible and discuss this new doctrine he was teaching in Texas. He said he would not, that they (the Texas overseer) had changed beliefs 10 years ago (I think this was about 1999) and they weren't going back.
I think the idea of talking about something with the Bible present made him afraid. He told me that people can make the Bible say anything. Well, I believe that, he should know as a false prophet.
