Sixth Commandment - Thou Shalt Not Kill
The sixth commandment is widely believed. Thou shalt not kill. In I suppose all countries, they have laws against killing other people. Certainly God, who is love, does not want us to kill others.
Exo 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.
I find it interesting that while 2x2s believe in many of the ten commandment, they don't believe in all of them. The end result in believing the spirit in which the commandments are written is to love God and love your neighbor as yourself. Which makes sense, because these are the two commandments on which all the law and the prophets are based.
Mat 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
The sixth commandment of not killing is widely believed by most people even though some of the other commandments are rejected even by people claiming to believe in Jesus Christ. This sixth commandment of not killing is based on love, as are all the commandments of God.
