How to Avoid Fornication and Rape

Fornication and rape are largely preventable. There are many things you can do to prevent them. You don't want to be in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong person with the wrong thoughts.

The Ten Commandments

Following the ten commandments will help you immensely. God who made heaven and earth and has given us life knows all about us. He has, in his great love, given us the ten commandments to be a help to us.

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Honor Your Parents

The fifth commandments is about honoring your father and your mother. Many young men and women choose to live at home instead of run into the "freedom" (falsely so-called) of living in their own place and having over whoever they feel like.

If you live at home until you get married, I believe you are much safer from fornication and rape. Do you think you could bring home a member of the opposite sex who dresses like a pimp or a harlot into your folks home?

Parents have often learned from their mistakes and can give good counsel. Most of the time parents will warn children of the mistakes they have made. Honor your parents. Learn from them. Enjoy their protection.

The seventh commandment is "Thou shalt not commit adultery". You could follow the letter of the law, but God wants us to love him with all our heart. What is God's intention with "thou shalt not commit adultery"? What is the spirit in which this law is given?

1 Thessalonians 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

Avoid Unfaithful Men and Unfaithful Women

2 Timothy 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

How to Flee Youthful Lusts

  • If you are with someone alone, then leave immediately
  • If you are in a bad situation and cannot leave, call a friend to come over immediately and take you away
  • Remove things from your house that you lust after. Don't let those things back into your house.
  • Ask God that Jesus Christ would baptize you in the Holy Ghost and give you power and self-control in your life.
  • Believe in Jesus Christ. His perfect sacrifice can cleanse you from your sin. You can be reconciled to God. Jesus Christ understands our sinful nature.
  • Women can talk with their mother/ Men with their fathers and ask them to help you be accountable. If they are not Christian, they may downplay it. So pray that God would help you find someone. Maintain a good consistent relationship with them.
  • Don't put yourself into situations that promote sin. Abstain from appearance of evil.
  • Memorize the ten commandments. Ask God to help you love His commandments
  1. Learn who God is. God is good and merciful. God wants us to be good and merciful.
  2. Watch and Pray that you will not enter into temptation
  3. Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength
  4. Abstain from the appearance of evil
  5. Know how to handle problems. If sexual abuse and parents don't respond, then go to authorities immediately and record video (best) or audio of what you witnessed
  6. Maintain good credibility. If you have to testify, you need to be believable.
  7. Build up strong relationships with your parents and friends
  8. Talk with your parents and friends about your life. Pray with them about things.
  9. Remember God wants us to worship him with our heart.
  10. Pray to God to find you a husband
  11. Be a virtuous woman, the type of woman a Godly man is looking for
  12. Dress modestly and adorn yourself with good works
  13. Hope in God

Abstinence Begins in the Heart

Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Acts 15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1 Peter 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

If a person cannot lift a stone, how could they lift a bucket of stones? If you cannot control one thought, how can you control a flood of thoughts? If you disbelieve one thing Jesus Christ taught, how can you believe the whole Bible? If you cannot abstain from the appearance of evil, how can you abstain from the evil also?

2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

How to Encourage Fornication and Rape

  1. Just pray that you want God's will so you sound good. Don't follow God with your heart, just with your mouth.
  2. Disbelieve the Bible about abstinence. Don't abstain from the appearance of evil.
  3. Hook up with a guy in a cult through the Internet. Talk with him for hours on end so he knows a lot about you.
  4. Find a guy that is in a cult which is known for child sexual abuse, preachers who sleep together, fornication is common and that accepts remarriages. Ignore warnings of what you read about his cult and keep talking with him.
  5. Google the guy's name. And when you find he's in a cult, just ignore it. Tell your parents that he's really a Christian that somehow got stuck in a cult or something of the sort.
  6. Find a guy whose mother and/or father are living in adultery.
  7. Make sure he is really sweet and tells you what you want to hear.
  8. If you ask your parents for their approval and they decline, date him anyway. Hide things from your parents. Don't pray with them about your plans.
  9. Go over to his house alone at night against your parents will.
  10. Don't listen to your parents. Hide evidence of what you're doing from your parents. Believe Satan that you can cover it up.
  11. Don't tell your friends. If they find out, hide it or don't listen to them.
  12. Hide what you're doing from friends.
  13. Lead a double life.
  14. Tell people you're not doing anything wrong to try to convince yourself that you're OK.
  15. Live with him. Say it's OK to do because others do it. Claim you're really not sleeping together. Hide it from your parents and from the church.

Things He May Say

  • It was consensual. It takes two to tango.
  • We were going to get married anyway, what's it matter?
  • It's just sex. What's the big deal? You might not have gotten pregnant.
  • Everybody has sex before they get married.
  • You knew it was going to happen. You're just in denial.
  • It's your fault, you seduced me. Your parents even warned you.
  • This stuff happens all the time. Let's just move on and get over it; dwelling on the past. Look, it happened to both my parents. It's common.
  • We just slipped a little. It's OK. We won't let it happen again.
  • You cannot blame me for what you really wanted to happen anyway.
  • You turned me on. You crossed the line and pushed me. You knew what you were doing. I cannot control myself around you.

Things to Think About

When or if you are raped because you may have rejected God's commandments.

  1. Are you going to report it to the police?
  2. Do you think they will believe you based on what you have done?
  3. How are you going to answer the questions of the police and your friends?
  4. Are you going to claim that none of it was your fault?
  5. Who would believe your claim he raped you based on your history?
  6. What evidence would you have if you were raped?
  7. If you plan on trying to get evidence going into it, is that a sign of consent and premeditation?
  8. Are you going to be act surprised it happened? Like you had never been warned?
  9. Are you going to claim it was his fault and that you were powerless to keep it from happening?
  10. If you didn't scream and there were people around, what then?
  11. What are you going to tell your friends about your double life?
  12. Would your "date", your parents, family and friends be wrong to doubt you about your story?

Most people are surprised when fornication happens. Some believe going into it, "It would never happen to me". But looking back later, they can see how it developed. They just ignored the warnings signs.

God can forgive sins if you truly repent. But the past is still the past. If you have a child, you will still need to support the child. Your life may be more difficult being a single parent with a child to raise. Your past will still be there.

What is Sin?

Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

The Bible does not say it is lust to look at a woman. It says if the purpose of looking is to lust, then it is sin. If a thought passes through our mind, it is not sin. If we choose to dwell on it, it can be sinful.

Afraid of Dying?

1 Corithians 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
Revelation 9:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

In some states, fornication is permitted. In some states, it is illegal. In all 50 states, rape is illegal. Everywhere in the world, living in adultery and fornication is a sure ticket to the lake of fire. Seek God's pleasure and avoid sin which leads to bondage and death.

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. - Jesus Christ speaking to Saul, see Act 26:18, see Salvation through Jesus Christ.
