Fornication is common from what I've seen and heard in the 2x2 religion. It affects workers, non-2x2 children of professing people, and professing kids alike.
A 2x2 man that I talked with who was a youth counselor, told me that he was one of the few people in his field that was a virgin when he was married.
I have heard from professing women first-hand after they have confessed fornication.
My own aunt and uncle lived together at her parents house before they got married.
I have heard of parents complaining to workers about fornication and that the workers have not dealt with the problem.
I know several young 2x2 people who got pregnant before they got married. Sometimes they move to another field in another state where people don't know much about them to avoid any perceived stigma. While fornication is common, having a child as a result can be frowned on.
Among the United States, it is common for fornicators to move to Southern states like Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi when they have children our of wedlock.
Fornication Amongst Overseers and Workers
It isn't uncommon for workers and overseers to be fornicating. An example of this is the case of the sister worker who accused Leslie White of raping her.
Rare Preaching Against Fornication
Of all my time in the 2x2 religion, the only time I heard the workers preach against fornication was when I was 20 years old and Everett Swanson preached against it in one single gospel meeting, mostly because there was a young girl dating a man who was not professing. However, there was other fornicating going on by professing men and women that was not addressed.
I believe that fornication is a sin that is accepted in the 2x2 religion because the 2x2's don't have standards for morality and reject the ten commandments of God.
