Your Anger Leaving the Cult

Your anger after leaving the 2x2 cult can be usefully directed as God intended in: confronting those who lied to you and rebuking them, learning the truth so you can decisively name the lies and reveal the truth, trust in God who will avenge those who cry out to Him and finally rest in your trust of God who knows all and will judge the world according to the words of Jesus Christ.

Eph_4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

It is important to confront people who have lied to and offended you in a timely manner. First, it lets the other person know that there is something wrong. And it lets them know that it has hurt you. This gives them time to consider what they've done before they become accustomed to doing it to other people. Also, it helps you deal with it and not stew on the matter.

Holding a Grudge

Being angry and not confronting someone is called "holding a grudge". Here's what the Bible says about grudges:

Lev_19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.
Jas_5:9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

How will the WORKERS know that children shouldn't be lied to if their parents allow the WORKERS to lie to their kids and don't confront them? How will WORKES see all the damage they've done if the parents don't confront the WORKERS for sexually molesting their children?

The WORKERS try to deceive people about the true nature of bitterness. First, the WORKERS purposefully make people bitter by deceiving them and speaking with guile. They outright lie to children and adults. When the FRIENDS confront the WORKERS, this is not bitterness, but doing what is right. When the WORKERS go out and gossip, slander and libel the FRIENDS for asking questions, this is actually grudging and bitterness.

Eph_4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

The WORKERS want people who have questions and are offended to be bitter and angry and to leave because they don't want honesty in their fellowship. How they accomplish this. They lie about their past. They twist things. They "forget" about what was said or done. They belittle people for bringing something up. They minimize it to make it look petty etc. Then when people leave the MEETINGS, the WORKERS have more room for spreading their lies and rewriting history for their FOLD."For the sake of the kingdom" (of darkness) as it were.

Fruit of Unrepentance

When WORKERS don't repent of their sins (rarely does this happen), and minimize or put down the person that is hurt, then this leads to depression and sometimes suicide. People are made to feel like they are nothing. This causes confusion because they don't know God's love (having heard of only OVERSEER's way and not of God) and not believing in the day of judgment where God will recompense evil men for their evil deeds.

One of the things that helped me to not be overcome with malice and avenging myself is faith in God. I believe that God will avenge me.

Deu_32:35 To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.
Deu_32:41 If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
Deu_32:43 Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

I have come to trust God. When people do mean and evil things to me, I am upset. If the confronted person does not care, then I cry out to God to avenge me.

Psa_94:1 O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
Isa_35:4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
Jer_20:12 But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause.

I think about the horrible things that they have to endure because of the evil they have done. This makes me thankful for how God has blessed me. This makes me fear doing evil to others. This makes me appreciate God's commandments which guide my life.

Psa_58:10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
Nah_1:2 God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.
