Sorry. I'm Sorry
Sorry. I'm sorry. Many 2x2s who leave the religious organization, having been raised in it, have a habit of saying I'm sorry. They apologize a lot. They dont' know boundaries. They apologize for asking reasonable and important questions. I think it stems from childhood fear of displeasing workers.
If you're in this situation, it will cause you to think about saying "sorry" when you don't need to.
When to Say "Sorry"
Now if you run into a person's car, you say "I'm sorry".
If you steal a pet rabbit, you give it back and say "Sorry".
Now, if we talk on the phone, and you call the 2x2 cult "the truth" (probably out of habit), then I will ask you to please not do that. Then you can say "sorry", because you did something wrong. Because Jesus Christ is the Truth. Call the 2x2 religion something else, but not, for heaven's sake "The truth".
When You Don't Say Sorry
Don't be sorry for doing what's right.
If you ask your parents why they lied to you about the founder William Irvine, you don't apologize. It's a reasonable question. You tell them that they hurt you with their lies. You don't apologize. It's their turn to apologize. They need to make things right.
Don't apologize for having questions. It's confusing when you ask a question and then apologize for asking. Did you think everyone who leaves the cult instantly has answers? Nope. That would be weird. Everybody who leaves the 2x2 religion, the cult, the organization or whatever has questions. It's normal. Asking questions gives you answers. Better check the Bible to make sure answers are good. I had tons of questions. Sometimes people are afraid to ask questions. I love questions. Please ask me.
