People Most Susceptible to Cults
People susceptible to cults include weak, boasters, lazy, proud, ignorant, apathetic and lustful
Pride blinds people. When cult leaders give great promises and flatter people, many proud people buy it so that they will have someone to continue to flatter them. People are proud to be part of the "only way" going to heaven. It is hard for them to admit later they were wrong about the cult because they feel they will lose their imaginary "special position" in life.
People who don't read their Bible and don't understand what the Bible says are easily deceived by people who promise to interpret it for them.
Major Life Changes
Major life changes that shake people from their normal routine can make a person susceptible to cults.
When a father dies or is away, the son or daughter may find someone else to replace the father figure and seek to please them. This makes it easier for cult leaders to step in and take this role of "father". If a father is abusive and rarely commends their children, the children may find someone else who is easier to please. Pedophiles, cult leaders and rapists gain an advantage this way. We all seek to please someone: God, satan or others. It is best to seek the praise and honor of God only.
John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

|To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. - Jesus Christ speaking to Saul, see Act 26:18, see Salvation through Jesus Christ.|
