Howard Mooney, False Prophet - 2x2 Overseer in OregonHoward Mooney was a false prophet. He used to be overseer of Oregon in the 2x2 religion. He is now dead. ![]() False ProphetHoward Mooney was a false prophet. Two of his big lies were that preachers must sell their homes (and give him the money) and that fellowship should only occur in homes. These were the two big lies of his ministry. I wonder if Hitler was a mentor of his. Lie big or go home? When I thought God was calling me to become a worker (I was wrong), I was instructed to sell everything I owned and bring all the cash to Boring convention. There, Stanley Sullivan told me to give him all my money. Stanley Sullivan worked for Howard Mooney. Former 2x2 Oregon OverseerHoward used to be the overseer of Oregon. He chose Ralph Sines to be the next overseer, but Harold Bennett took over things to some people's dismay. Charismatic PreachingHoward Mooney had charisma and commanded a certain respect and admiration that drove the 2x2 religion in Oregon. Something that Ralph Sines and Harold Bennett never had. Ralph Sines is now dead too. Harold Bennett ran the show in Oregon, was replaced by Dale Shultz and now Dean Bruer. They are all false prophets too, just like Howard Mooney. Why Howard Mooney Enjoyed Being a WorkerHoward told me that he had no desire towards women. I've heard this is true of gays, and I don't understand it. Howard told me that he was glad he never married and that he became a worker. Few know that Howard got sick and had to leave the work early on, but later recovered to go back into the work. He was glad he was a worker because: he didn't have bills to pay, no house to keep up, and no wife that would get old and ugly. I thought it was good he didn't get married too because if anyone heard that, they wouldn't want to marry him. Couldn't Find a Wife?Howard told me once that some kids had asked him if he became a worker because he couldn't find a wife. That was funny. But not really. He wasn't attracted to women. Do you know who Howard was attracted to? What wasn't funny is that in his religion, Howard Mooney did not allow his staff of workers to marry. Also Howard Mooney knew about child sexual abuse and did nothing that I know of to prevent it or root it out of his religion. He had a meeting placed in the home of known child molester. Howard's Last YearsIn his last few years, Howard was very demanding and required other workers to take care of him and fix him meals that he liked. Jay Wicks made several comments about this, to the effect that if people are hard to get along with when they're younger, it just gets worse in their last days.A Wasted LifeI feel sorry for all the old workers who have put so much effort into their 2x2 religion work preaching lies and have neglected a relationship with God. After getting out of the 2x2 religion, I see now how these people could study for preaching their religion, but not have a prayer life nor a relationship with God themselves. It was all about getting people to profess, to join THEIR religion, not about a relationship with God and loving others. ExcommunicationsHoward Mooney was ruthless if you believed in Jesus Christ. There was an elder who believed that people who believed in Jesus Christ through faith were saved whether they went to meetings or not. Howard had the meeting taken out of his home. |

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. - Jesus Christ speaking to Saul, see Act 26:18, see Salvation through Jesus Christ. | |||||
