2x2 Fields are Boundaries Given to Workers
Overseers give workers geographical boundaries that they cannot leave to preach unless they get permission from other workers. Workers are free to preach what the overseers approve of within the field assigned them, but they cannot preach outside of the area assigned to them.
In Oregon there are several 2x2 fields. On the left column is the workers' names. In the middle is the name of the 2x2 field, and on the right column is the field address.

2x2 Definition of "field"
2x2 Fields are geographical boundaries decided on by reigning 2x2 overseer to which the field belongs. A 2x2 field may include one or more cities.
Fields and Workers
Typically, two or three workers are assigned to a field. The two workers names appear on a field list sent from headquarters/convention at convention time. This is when most 2x2 workers find out which field they will be working in that year. They are usually assigned to this field for a full year, but may be reassigned to another field if there are scandals, sex crimes of workers, a worker quitting his job or any other reason the overseer decides to move them.
Fields and Sunday morning meetings
Fields are composed of one or more Sunday morning meetings.
