God Doesn't Care

As a young child, I was taught by my parents that God doesn't care about "natural" things. That's right, "God doesn't care about natural things." I was taught that God cared about "spiritual" things. Spiritual things included: obeying workers, going to all the meetings, giving your testimony, women wearing their hair in a bun...

Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

If God doesn't care about natural things, what in the world was I thinking when I read this verse? God cares about everything. God keeps track of sparrows, and the number! of hairs on our head. How many times have I gone to count the number of hairs on my head. None. I couldn't count them anyway. I would lose track. And yet God knows the exact number of hairs. God does care about everything "natural" (his creation) and "spiritual".

I was brought to remember that "God doesn't care..." when I was reading through the writings of a young Peruvian girl molested by Alfonso Quispe, a brother worker. This girl was telling about why she didn't tell her mother about the brother worker abusing her, why she hid it for so many years... and it made me remember why I probably wouldn't have told me parents until I had to either. And this was what flashed into my mind, "God doesn't care." And when you are taught this as a child, and bad things happen to you, you begin to believe that really, God doesn't care.

Maybe you think it's not fair to say "God doesn't care." Why don't I write "God doesn't care about natural things." ? Well, then you tell me. Should I say "God doesn't care about natural things"? What am I leaving out when I say "God doesn't care." Isn't it the same thinngg to say "God doesn't care" as it is to say "God doesn't care about natural things"?

Don't they mean and imply the same thing? Don't they have the same effect? What difference would it make? When people teach that God doesn't care about "natural things" then they are teaching that God doesn't care, period.

Which is Worse?

Which is worse? Writing "God doesn't care" and doing and teaching this? Or Teaching "God doesn't care about natural things."?

I will tell you which I believe is a worse teaching "God doesn't care about natural things." And here's why. It sounds more believable. It's a more dangerous heresy. And as with most teachings of the 2x2s, they don't like to put things in writing. And their ways are changeable so that you can never really "know" their teachings. It's secretive, coded and variable according to their whim, and who they want to preach at or against in meeting.

Spiritual versus Natural

If you read the verses that I posted earlier on this page, you can see what a huge lie it is that professing parents teach their kids that "God doesn't care about natural things." God made heaven, earth and all that is in them, of course God cares about everything, whether you call it "natural" or "spiritual". God even knows the hairs on our head. Who cares that much?

But when kids see from the behavior of their parents and the workers (whom their parents idolize) then they come to believe that really, God must not care about natural things, including being molested.

So what are "natural" things and "spiritual" things. Did you ever think to ask this as a child? No, of course not. Why make your parents upset and the workers uncomfortable? But let's ask a few questions and expose this teaching of the 2x2s for what it is, a devious, subtle lie.

Money - Natural or Spiritual

I think that almost all 2x2s would say that "God doesn't care about natural things" and would also believe that money is a "natural" thing about which God doesn't care. So let's start here.

  • Is money natural or spiritual?
  • Does God care how we make money?
  • Does God care how we spend money?
  • Are people natural or spiritual?
  • Does God care if people obtain money through fraud or guile?
  • Does God care if a person steals money?
  • Does God care if we charge usury?

These are a few questions that show the fallacy and predicament of people who profess that "God doesn't care about natural things." Obviously God does care. In fact, he cares so much that the Bible is replete with things that God does care about.

2x2s have put themselves in the position of having to try to explain why they want you to believe that some things are natural and some spiritual and about which ones they believe God does nor does not care about.

But let's get into some "natural things" that it's clear from the Bible that God does care about.

Idolatry

God doesn't like idolatry. That is sin. Professing parents idolizing workers to the point that they are immune from deceiving their children, obtaining money through deception and guile, sexually abusing their children etc. This is the fruit of idolatry. More works of the flesh. Some claim that workers are human, as if that is a revelation to them. So now, why don't they go through and list the workers faults? Why don't they search the Bible to see if they are being lied to? If they believe workers are human, and not to be idolized, then why do they idolize the i>workers to the point of the destruction of their own lives and their children's lives?

Child Sexual Abuse

While some professing people claim that workers are human just like everyone else, why do they doubt kids who tell of workers who sexually abuse them? Why is it clear to their kids that if they should broach the subject, that the kids will not be believed?

So are these crimes and sins as taught by God natural or spiritual things? Do you think God cares? I've never seen anywhere in the Bible that God cares about spiritual things and not natural things. I cannot even recollect one Bible verse that workers could twist or distort to use to justify this lie of theirs.

More later.
