Hymn 30

From what I have gathered in reading, this hymn was written by a 2x2 named Mrs Elma Wiebe-Milton in 1937. It was supposedly based on John 1:41+, but there are some serious issues in it.

It says "This same Christ who walked upon the sea, walks upon the earth today. And he comes in lowliness to thee, templed still in mortal clay." This is another example of a hymn that indicates to poor kids that the workers are Jesus Christ come again in the flesh. A true Bible scholar would recognize that Jesus Christ is not in the same flesh as he was when he walked by the sea some 2000 years ago, but has ascended up on high, at the right hand of the throne of God! He has a different body. The 2x2 overseers and 2x2 workers are not Jesus Christ in the flesh! When people find the overseers and workers, they have not found Jesus Christ in the flesh! They have not found "the Way". They have simply found people who like to portray themselves as poor apostles who try to gain advantage through sympathy.

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. - Jesus Christ speaking to Saul, see Act 26:18, see Salvation through Jesus Christ.
