Hymns Old & New #7 - O Tell Me More

Hymns Old & New of the 2x2 religion has hymn #7 titled "O Tell Me More"

You may be tired of hearing of the same old worker glorification message in meetings over and over again. Perhaps you would like to learn more about Jesus Christ of Nazareth that is written about in the Bible?

If you want to learn more about Jesus Christ, I suggest staying home and reading your Bible. I did this and was just astounded at what I learned. For example, ask yourself "What is the gospel that Jesus Christ preached?" And then read the Bible and see if you can find it. Wow! Workers don't know these things.

When Jesus Christ neared the end of his life, his will and testament (prophesied about in old testament) was set in motion. Do you know what the will of Jesus Christ is? If your father had a will and passed away, would you not want to know his will? How much more should we know the will of Jesus Christ? The will of Christ is also referred to as the testimony of Jesus Christ. A will is also called a testament. Do you know where to find the will of Jesus Christ spelled out? The New Testament spelled out plainly? I think you will be surprised. Why don't you take time now to look? You will find it in the book to the Hebrews, in the New Testament part of your Bible.

Hymn 7 says "O tell me more of Him I love, until I see his face above." Do you see how Him is capitalized? This is because Jesus Christ is God. Have you ever known this? It isn't taught nor believed by the workers. Did you know that according to Jesus Christ that if you don't know that Jesus Christ is God the Saviour then you don't know the Father either?

Joh_6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

Maybe all those verses you have skipped over in your Bible are worth reading and praying to God to understand them? I have found that every word of God is important.

Hymn 7 has on the fourth line: Come blessed Lord, they work completing, till songs of praise our lips employ." Now I ask you, have you ever heard a worker on the platform ever say "Praise Jesus Christ?" Please, don't laugh. Get up off the floor and think about this. Why aren't the workers praising Jesus Christ? Why don't they see Jesus Christ for who He is? God in the flesh, as the Bible teaches:

Mat_1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Friend, if you don't know God now, and don't praise God now, then what makes you think that you would know and praise God in eternity? Have you noticed that workers don't believe you can even know if you are saved? Are you willing to gamble with deception of the workers? Are you a betting person? Do you think you have a 10% chance? Is that how to treat your eternal salvation? Have you realized that the workers KNOW that you are NOT saved? The Bible teaches us that we can know. Jesus Christ himself said:

Joh_5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Do you believe Jesus Christ? If not, what are you doing singing songs about Him for?

Hymn 7, O Tell Me More, do you want to know more about the Jesus Christ of Nazareth as taught in the Bible or is this just vain singing with no real intent?

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. - Jesus Christ speaking to Saul, see Act 26:18, see Salvation through Jesus Christ.
