Funerals

Funerals of 2x2s.

The workers have warned their friends, "You don't drift into harbor."

Don't Know God? Reject His Commandments? Didn't Repent?

When a 2x2 dies, having rejected the law of God, God's commandments and having rejected God's message of "repent and believe" (why would they repent if they don't believe in the law of God), then when they die, they go to hades, as the Bible says, the "place of the dead". They sleep there, as the Bible teaches, waiting until the second resurrection.

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

I mentioned to a 2x2 that they don't even know what the will of God is. I asked them in all their years of attending meetings had they ever heard the will of Jesus Christ? They got very angry. Why should they be angry at me? I'm not the one who kept it from them. Why idolize and try to justify the workers who don't know or understand their Bibles? You can read the will of God - Hebrews 8

1 John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

There is no eternal torment for people who have rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ, but there is eternal punishment. They will be thrown into the lake of fire, and their soul will be destroyed - forever. This is the eternal punishment as taught by the apostles.

The Great White Throne

At the second resurrection, there will be judgment, the day of the LORD. And God will sit on his great white throne, judging the dead, small and great. And people who have warned the 2x2s and have obeyed God, will be there as witness against them - because repented and obeyed God and the 2x2s did not.

Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Rising in Judgment

Matthew 12:42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

Want to Inherit Eternal Life

I know these things, having read and believed the Bible. If you would like to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, it is this: "Repent of your sins." What is sin? It is transgression of God's law. (1 John 3:4) What is the law of God? It is the ten commandments. (Deuteronomy 5) It is God's will that we keep his commandments. (Hebrews 8) This is explained clearly in all the Bibles and spelled out in plain English (King James for English speaking folks) in Hebrews 8.

Is God's law In Your Mind and Heart?

If God's law isn't in your mind and heart, how in the world are you going to explain this to God when you are part of the second resurrection and face God on the great white throne?

Assurance of the Saved

For those of us who love God, keep his commandments and love the brethren (disciples of God), then we know we are saved. God's word assures us of salvation:

We will reign with Christ a thousand years.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

2x2 Funeral Notes

On the right are links to notes about funerals of 2x2s on often what workers believe.

The Bible never teaches that professing or going to meetings will save you. God wants us to believe on him, receive his word, repent of our sins, accept Jesus Christ, keep his commandments and make disciples of the whole world.

Workers may speak at funerals and think they have the last say, but God is the beginning and the end.

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. - Jesus Christ speaking to Saul, see Act 26:18, see Salvation through Jesus Christ.
