Howard Mooney's Letter to Elders
As a worker, I taught that we were the only way. Randy Russell never rebuked me in gospel meetings. Neither did Craig Jacobsen. They taught it too. When Howard Mooney came to our field when I was preaching, he never rebuked me for it. He taught it and believed it too. I had the "revelation" that people needed to be a 2x2. I was professing and "possessing".
Why? Because it was what I was taught as a child. It was what I was taught as a teenager. We were God's way. We were the truth. We were the gospel.
Howard does the typical 2x2 thing. He wants to make people believe that "the way" (the 2x2s) was started from the foundation of the world. So he does a Strong's concordance search on all verses that mention "foundation", "world" etc, lists them and gives a little blurb next to them. Making no sense in his overall message. But it looks credible to the naive because he has Bible verses.
Did you know that the devil quotes the Bible too?
But the 2x2s get the message. The 2x2 way was started from the foundation of the world. That's the message loud and clear.
Heb 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
When Howard says that Heb 13:15 says that conventions testimonies are to be short and full of thanks, is this what Paul was writing to the Hebrews about?
Does the word "continually" mean the same thing as "short"?
When he writes "How fortunate we are to be part of a fellowship that that began in eternity ..."
Who do you think the "we" is in this sentence?
What "fellowship" was Howard Mooney referring to? Baptists? :)
