Workers are preachers assigned to the local area. The are preaching many weeks at the gospel meetings on Sundays and in the middle of the week. They are responsible in a large part for maintaining the brainwashing of the cult's beliefs. And if a 2x2 is breaking the rules, they may either try to sweet talk you into joining the cult or else come down hard on the offending 2x2 to make an example out of them.
