Bible Commentaries

Bible commentaries are helpful in understanding the Bible. The best commentaries on the Bible are found in the Bible. For example, there are Psalms which comment on the creation of heaven in earth found in Genesis 1.

Recent Bible Commentaries

There are some recently written commentaries. The commentaries are often used in Bible seminaries. These seminaries are often associated with specific denominations. Because there are thousands of denominations which don't get along with each other and cannot agree on doctrine, the commentaries reflect those differences.

Authors of Bible commentaries are often popular figures. Therefore they often teach and make comments that support their particular denomination. This results in comments on the Bible of the same passage that differ remarkably from one commentary to another. Each teaching a specific concept that contrasts strongly from the other and also contradicting the Bible passage itself or other Bible passages.

As a conclusion, the safest commentaries to read are other books of the Bible which comment on previous books in the Bible. If you already have a Bible, that means you already have the best commentary out there.
