The 2x2s believe that they are the one fold spoken of by Jesus Christ in John 10 and that all others are going to hell. This belief is based on their homeless preacher and meetings in the HOME rules. Since Christians don't always have homeless preachers and/or meet in their homes, they believe that they are not of their fold. And since they believe they are the only "fold", then Christians must be going to hell.
The 2x2s believe that they are the one true church. This is a fundamental, teaching based on their "homeless preachers" theology and "meetings in the home" theology. Once people believe in those two lies of the workers, people come to the conclusion that they are the only true church. Then, the "only true church" belief becomes a belief on which many other teachings are based.
Workers believe that if you believe in God, then you will come to them and go to the workers' meetings the rest of your life.
Twisted Use of John 10
Workers often point to the gospel of John chapter 10 which talks about the one fold, one shepherd as evidence that there is only one true church. Then they twist the scripture and add that they are that church because they claim WORKERS don't have salaries. Having been a WORKER, I know that we received salaries, and whether you got a salary or not was controlled by the OVERSEER.
Hence they believe all other "folds" are of the devil and not of God. Here are the verses the clergy of the 2x2 religion use(misuse) to stake their claim as being the ONE TRUE CHURCH:
Joh 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
The point Jesus Christ was making was that ALL others were hirelings and only HE (Jesus Christ) was the true Shepherd. Jesus Christ was also making th epoint here that he was going to lay down his life for the sheep. John the Baptist refered to this when he said to his disciples "Behold the Lamb of God which takes away the sin of the world."
The 2x2s are both hirelings (OVERSEERS with their funds are good examples of this), flee when danger approaches (2x2 preachers flee during times of war), and 2x2 preachers care so little about their followers that they lie to them and promote idolatry.
This is an important teaching to know about the 2x2 religion.
Misuse of John 10
Since many people reading this may not understand John 10, I would like to point out the misuse of John 10 by the 2x2s.
Jesus Christ said that he is the good shepherd. He didn't say others were the good shepherds. The 2x2s believe that the WORKERS are good shepherds.
Jesus Christ said that he would give his life for the sheep. Jesus Christ died for his sheep (us) on the cross. Jesus Christ died as the spotless lamb of God for the sins of the world. The WORKERS believe that they are a living sacrifice. However nowhere in the Bible does Jesus Christ ever call for WORKERS to preach a 2x2 gospel. It's not in the Bible. The WORKERS are a sacrifice to the devil, because what they are not doing was never asked by God.
Jesus said he was the good shepherd and not a hireling. Jesus Christ said the sheep were his, and nobody elses. Therefore, another person who didn't own the sheep (a hireling) would not keep the sheep like he did and would flee. In contrast, the 2x2s believe that they are good shepherds (they call Jesus Christ a liar through this belief) because (or so their reasoning goes) they do not receive a fixed, formal, public salary nor take collections. But the 2x2s are just deceiving themselves. First, they preach a gospel that is not of God. Their followers don't believe in keeping the commandments of God. Third, the WORKERS do take wages of their followers. They collect it after MEETINGS in handshakes. Just because they take their wages in secret, does not mean that they don't receive wages. Also, when people leave the WORK, people are instructed to no longer give them money. This shows that the followers are giving money at the instruction of the OVERSEERS. They are, as Jesus Christ said, hirelings. They do not love their sheep. And as history of the 2x2s shows, the WORKERS flee when trouble comes into a country and their lives are endangered. Just like they cower, hide WORKERS and are secretive about the OVERSEERS and WORKERS molesting little kids. Jesus Christ told the truth about the WORKERS when he said "and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep." The WORKERS prey on people who rebel against God or who dislike Christians.
Jesus Christ said that he was laying down his life for the sheep. Let me introduce another scripture which elaborates on what he meant here:
Joh_10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
I hope you see that when Jesus Christ said "I lay down my life for the sheep", he was talking about allowing himself to be crucified for the sins of the world. He said in John 10:18 that he had power to take it again (Jesus Christ raised himself from the dead). The WORKERS believe that they are laying down their lives for their sheep (the FRIENDS). They believe that is necessary for a continual sacrifice to still be given in order to maintain their religion. "A living church and a dying ministry" is one of their phrases. The believe the WORKERS must continually die or lay down their lives so the church can go on living. This is not a Christian teaching. As Christians, we believe that the blood of Jesus Christ was sufficient for the sins of the world. We don't believe we are saved by the dying of the WORKERS or them LAYING DOWN THEIR LIVES. And what's worse, the WORKERS believe that LAYING DOWN THEIR LIVES is them being forbidden to marry, selling all and giving it to the OVERSEERS and obeying the OVERSEERS. This is not Christian in teaching at all. The obey the OVERSEERS because they believe the OVERSEERS are the true prophets of the LORD, and that to disobey the OVERSEERS is to disobey the LORD because they believe the OVERSEERS speak the word of the LORD.
The ONE TRUE CHURCH
I hope you can see that the concept of the 2x2s being the ONE TRUE CHURCH is based on lies and misuse of John 10. Truly the Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is the one good shepherd, and that he layed down his life when he was crucified and was raised again the third day as prophesied in scripture. And I also hope that you can see that to call the 2x2s Christians is to condemn yourself to a lost eternity. This is one of the main reasons why the 2x2s work so hard on their new recruits to get them to call them Christians. This is also one of the reasons why I believe that anyone who believes the 2x2s are Christians, are not Christians. Or said another way: if someone believes that the 2x2s are Christians and the one true church, then they are not Christians themselves. You cannot say you love God, claim to be Christian and then call Jesus Christ a liar. What Jesus Christ teaches is true and the 2x2 religion has primary, fundamental teachings which call Jesus Christ a liar.
